I just wanted to follow up on an issue I brought up related to the updated map core during the last community call and emailed about after the call (see attachment). I was trying to do a spatial search based on selecting a specific protected area from the PADUS dataset, applying a buffer, and seeing the other protected areas intersecting that buffered area. I was able to narrow the list of protected areas based on an attribute filter- but the list of protected areas displayed in the feature table did not seem to narrow down to those intersected by the buffered region. This could be a product of using the PADUS database/perhaps some of the features covering large areas/multiple states- but I would like to be able to narrow projects shown in the feature table down to those within a buffered region, and a particular project type or types, in the NMERT - and I wasn't certain I would be able to do this based on how the spatial search worked with PADUS on the map core test site.

We are asking for feedback from all programs on the following changes coming to the "new map" before we release it to Production. Once in Production, each program currently using the "new map" will inherit this version at their next update. I will update this Forum as new items become available to test.
You can preview these changes on the AZ Dev site: https://azdev.natureserve.org/content/explore
We are asking for your feedback by Friday, May 2, 2025.
List of changes (highlighted items are further explained in Change details section):
Change details:
>Tool kit update - Layers look changes
We use an ESRI tool kit to build our map and recently updated to the latest version of this kit. The Layers display a bit different, so
Layers (current)
Layers (update)
>Layer filter
Flash feature (in the Features table)
>Coordinate conversion widget
Change which coordinates are being used
To get coordinates for a specific location, select the 'up' carrot to open the widget, select the 'Pin' and then click on the map
Zoom to this location by copying and pasting the XY coordinates into the search tool bar (map upper right)
To convert coordinates, select the 'Pencil', paste the coordinates and select 'Convert'. Use the "Go to Location" to center the map on this location.
>Multi-select field values for attribute filter
You can now select multiple values for the "is equal to" and "is not equal to" attribute filters.
